About the position

The Data Quality Sr. Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring that data sourced and provisioned by various areas meets the required Data Quality standards. This position involves evaluating moderately complex issues with substantial potential impact, developing approaches to resolve data challenges, and collaborating with multiple teams to enhance data quality practices. The analyst will also contribute to the development of guidelines and standards for Data Certification and Data Quality management, while supporting compliance with Citi's Data Governance Policy.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Enterprise Chief Data Office to develop procedure guidelines and standards for Data Certification and Data Quality management.
• Develop methods to identify data patterns and trends, perform data quality analytics, and identify data challenges.
• Contribute to Data Quality resolution strategies and practices.
• Assist in data improvement initiatives in compliance with Citi Data Governance Policy.
• Remediate Audit and Regulatory feedback on data issues and concerns.
• Report Data Quality issues through Citi's Data/Issue management process.
• Coordinate efforts for Data consumption demand and requirements from strategic data repositories.
• Liaise with other areas to understand data challenges and solutions.
• Support identification of data quality rules, thresholds, and business requirements.
• Perform financial reconciliation and measure Data Quality to drive resolution.
• Define and formulate business requirements documents to resolve Data Quality issues.
• Lead project management activities and support senior management's strategic vision.
• Assess risk in business decisions, ensuring compliance with rules and regulations.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in defining and implementing Data Quality programs, preferably in Banking or Finance.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong project management skills.
• Proficient in data management and analysis tools, including Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Working knowledge of Collibra and other Data Governance tools.
• Intermediate proficiency in System Query Language (SQL).
• Familiarity with Cloud, Kafka, and Big Data is a plus.
• Experience with UNIX (Solaris/Linux), Perl, or Python.
• Working knowledge of Tableau (report consumer, developer).
• Demonstrated understanding of Database structures.

Nice-to-haves

• Business knowledge of financial markets and products.
• Experience with Messaging Technologies (TIBCO EMS, Kafka, Solace).
• Experience with job scheduling tools such as Autosys.
• Knowledge of issue tracking and reporting tools like JIRA.
• Good all-round PC skills (Windows OS, Networks, General Hardware).
