About the position

The Finance Accounting Senior Analyst at Citi Private Bank is a seasoned professional role focused on managing and controlling data flows within Finance applications. This hybrid position requires the analyst to work in the Buffalo, NY office three days a week, contributing to the development of new techniques and improving processes for financial reporting and accounting reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Support the management and control of data flows to and within Finance applications to ensure data integrity and completeness.
• Prepare and record financial transactions for legal vehicle and regulatory reporting purposes.
• Update the general ledger, record financial transactions, and prepare consolidated financial statements.
• Manage one or more processes, reports, procedures, or products, acting as an analytical or procedural expert.
• Take responsibility for accurate reporting of accounting reconciliations on Citi reporting tools.
• Review and examine key controls for accounting processes handled.
• Assume informal/formal leadership roles within teams.
• Resolve complex problems or transactions requiring expertise to interpret policies, guidelines, or processes.
• Identify and escalate potential issues relating to accounts with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Strong technical knowledge in finance and accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills with experience handling large datasets.
• Experience with database management preferred.
• Strong analytical skills to filter, prioritize, and validate complex material from multiple sources.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Bachelor's/University degree.
