About the position

As the AVP Global Organizational Effectiveness and Change Management at HCA Healthcare, you will play a pivotal role in driving organizational and workforce transformation efforts necessary to establish and maintain HCA Healthcare's Global Capability Network. This position is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of change management initiatives, training programs, and engagement strategies for current and future colleagues across the globe. You will oversee the development of the organizational analysis of the Global Capability Network, which includes managing the job architecture strategy, identifying capability gaps, and designing new roles to meet the evolving needs of the organization. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and execution of an enterprise-wide change strategy that supports colleagues through a significant global transformation. You will also be responsible for crafting a comprehensive communications strategy that effectively conveys operational updates, leadership announcements, and employer branding initiatives to both internal and external stakeholders. Your ability to apply and promote the HCA Healthcare employer brand in global markets will be crucial, as will your efforts to foster community engagement through partnerships with local NGOs and non-profit organizations. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with HR to design the job architecture strategy for the Global Capability Network, ensuring that new roles are developed in alignment with the organization's strategic goals. You will also work with business leaders to create a robust training strategy that encompasses knowledge transfer, on-the-job training, and upskilling initiatives for Global Capability Network colleagues. Your leadership will be essential in driving a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the organization, ultimately enhancing the employee experience and supporting HCA Healthcare's mission of improving human life.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design, development, and execution of an enterprise-wide change strategy and change management activities for colleagues across a global transformation.
  • Develop and implement an enterprise-wide communications strategy for internal and external stakeholders, partnering with Marketing and internal teams.
  • Approve mitigations through change actions, training, or communications to support colleagues and global teams during the transition to a Global Capability Network.
  • Promote local community engagement strategies in global markets and develop relationships with NGOs and non-profit organizations.
  • Drive the talent experience for all Global Capability Network colleagues, including culture initiatives to foster an engaged workforce.
  • Partner with HR to design the job architecture strategy for the Global Capability Network and oversee the development of new roles.
  • Identify capability and workforce gaps in collaboration with local and global leaders.
  • Develop a strategic workforce planning strategy to identify roles that may need to be rearchitected due to innovations and transformations.
  • Work closely with business leaders to develop the training strategy for Global Capability Network colleagues, including onboarding and upskilling initiatives.
  • Oversee the execution and implementation of the training strategy across the Global Capability Network.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred)
  • 15+ years of experience in HR, Talent, or Organization Effectiveness roles, preferably in a large global organization
  • 10+ years of experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Experience working across geographic regions preferred
  • Previous consulting and/or advisory experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, including international travel.

  • Experience in managing communications, change management, organizational design, and training in a highly matrixed global organization
