About the position
The AVP Hudson Tunnel Program (HTP) will lead a significant infrastructure project aimed at enhancing travel efficiency on the Northeast Corridor. This role involves overseeing the rehabilitation of existing infrastructure and the construction of new assets, including tunnels, tracks, bridges, and stations. The AVP will be responsible for managing relationships with various stakeholders, ensuring project delivery aligns with approved scope, schedule, and budget while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Hudson Tunnel Program, ensuring successful project delivery.
- Build and mentor a high-performing project delivery team.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships with federal partners and regional railroads.
- Oversee project planning and execution strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Establish robust budget and cost control measures, managing trends and changes effectively.
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in leading complex programs and projects.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to build and lead teams.
- Expertise in major construction project management and engineering.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, for executive-level reporting.
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Business Administration.
- Experience with capital delivery in a railroad operating environment.
- Experience in federal or state government.
