The AVP, Marketing and Producer Management role at Argo is a hybrid position that requires a minimum of three days per week on-site at one of our offices located in San Antonio, TX, Chicago, IL, or New York City. This position is pivotal in supporting growth within Argo's business units and key strategic partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of marketing and distribution strategies, which includes designing, planning, executing, and measuring the success of various initiatives. As a client-facing role, the AVP will interact regularly with Argo's distribution partners, managing relationships that encompass new appointments, progress reporting, performance management, and terminations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sales orientation and demonstrate solid marketing and communications planning skills. Project management capabilities, strong customer service, problem-solving abilities, and relationship-building skills are essential. A focus on data-based decision-making, metrics, and reporting will be crucial in this role. The primary responsibilities include working closely with business unit leadership to develop strategic plans and execute marketing initiatives that enhance relationships with distribution partners. The AVP will proactively capture client feedback and competitive intelligence to continuously refine the business units' value proposition and identify opportunities for growth. In addition, the role involves supporting the cultivation of a sales culture throughout the business unit, managing the new appointment process, driving new producer onboarding, and handling performance management and terminations. Collaboration with the business unit and marketing team on campaign development, educational and incentive events, advertising, collateral development, and digital and social media strategy will be key aspects of the job. The AVP will also partner with business unit leaders to develop and execute major conference strategies, including scheduling, producer packets, marketing communications, and follow-up activities. Tracking, measuring, and driving marketing ROI will be a significant responsibility, along with developing and implementing plans for client engagement, sales enablement, and key distribution partner strategies that support business unit growth. The role requires proactive management of relationships with distribution partners and the ability to analyze producer data reports to identify trends and opportunities.
