About the position

The AVP, Marketing and Producer Management at Argo Group is responsible for supporting growth within business units and key strategic partners. This client-facing role involves developing marketing and distribution strategies, managing relationships with distribution partners, and executing marketing initiatives to enhance these relationships. The position requires a strong sales orientation, project management skills, and a focus on data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business unit leadership to develop strategic plans and execute marketing initiatives to enhance relationships with distribution partners.
  • Proactively capture client feedback and competitive intelligence to continuously refine the business units' value proposition and opportunities for growth.
  • Support cultivation of a sales culture throughout the business unit.
  • Manage the new appointment process, drive new producer onboarding, ongoing progress reporting, performance management, and handle terminations.
  • Collaborate with business unit and marketing team on campaign development and management, including events, advertising, and digital strategy.
  • Partner with business unit leaders on major conference strategies, including scheduling and marketing communications.
  • Track, measure, and drive marketing ROI.
  • Develop and implement plans for client engagement, sales enablement, and key distribution partner strategies that support business unit growth.
  • Interact with distribution partners and actively manage the relationships.
  • Review the producer data report monthly, identifying trends, opportunities, and concerns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (required); Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years insurance experience required.
  • Minimum of 7 years in marketing/communications role required.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical skill set, including the ability to analyze data and gain insights.
  • Ability to think strategically and 'out-of-the-box'.
  • Experience working within a matrixed environment.
