About the position

The Associate Vice President (AVP) of Network Engagement is responsible for enhancing engagement at various levels to ensure operational efficiency in implementing and expanding Lifeline's services. This role involves overseeing wellness initiatives, fostering collaboration among local centers, and managing relationships with state agencies to align with performance management requirements. The AVP will also cultivate a cohesive team culture and ensure compliance with quality standards and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Builds organizational capabilities at Lifeline/988, driving efficiencies and harmonizing core programs and services with strategic engagement at the center and system levels.
  • Leads the departments of Center engagement, Crisis continuum, and Wellness for the Network, along with additional duties as assigned.
  • Facilitates collaborations between local centers and continuum of crisis services.
  • Fosters community and cohesion across the network by developing trusting and collaborative relationships.
  • Manages relationships with state agencies and collaborates on state-wide performance management.
  • Collaborates with department leaders to ensure operational effectiveness across Lifeline/988 local centers.
  • Advises the VP on key network planning issues and makes recommendations on major decisions.
  • Maintains the reputation of 988 and Vibrant Emotional Health.
  • Creates a cohesive team with a culture of cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Cultivates relationships across different teams at multiple senior levels.
  • Works with direct reports on performance management activities.
  • Oversees all projects and assignments within Engagement scope, reporting on strengths and areas of opportunity.
  • Ensures compliance with quality standards and operational policies.
  • Engages in professional development activities and mentors employees.

Requirements

  • Skilled at building and maintaining relationships across different teams at multiple senior levels.
  • Deep experience in developing and executing strategic plans at the department level.
  • Effectively allocates resources and prioritizes projects within budget.
  • Outstanding communication skills for presentations and public forums.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership skills.
  • Ability to delegate effectively and manage time and organization skills well.
  • Cross-functional program management experience at senior leadership level.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership strategy or operations role at a nonprofit.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or Master's degree in relevant fields preferred.
