About the position

The AVP, Offshore Resource Manager will oversee and manage multiple offshore operations teams to support the North American Underwriting Group. This role focuses on driving analysis, identifying processes that can be managed remotely, and ensuring seamless workflow while aligning costs and skills. The position requires strong change management skills to implement operational improvements and embed changes within the company culture, ultimately impacting bottom-line results and compliance with operational and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage multiple offshore operations teams supporting the North American Underwriting Group.
  • Develop scope of work (SOW) including milestones, priorities, expected outcomes, and deliverable timelines.
  • Assist in the development and periodic review of Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Direct management and oversight of offshore teams, providing regular feedback and tracking progress.
  • Liaison with offshore teams to document current state for effective knowledge transfer.
  • Coordinate necessary system updates within AW systems to support transformation changes.
  • Establish effective change management processes, including plans and communication strategies.
  • Organize supporting documentation and status reporting.
  • Establish internal audits of offshore teams to ensure quality and turnaround time metrics are achieved.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of team approaches and streamline processes.
  • Develop Business Continuity Plans for each workstream.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 10 years' insurance and leadership experience.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working with offshore teams.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and consultative skills.
  • Highly collaborative with demonstrated ability to build relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, manage, and achieve change.
  • Solid organization, analytic, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly resourceful with outstanding problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft desktop tools and other technologies.
