About the position

The AVP, Operations Manager at Solvay Bank plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of the bank's operations functions while adhering to regulatory requirements. This position involves overseeing operational procedures, enhancing customer service, and collaborating with various departments to resolve issues and implement new initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive banking experience and a strong focus on customer satisfaction, making them a key player in the bank's operational success.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operations functions in accordance with established systems and procedures.
  • Review, recommend, and implement operational procedures and system utilization that support the Bank's long-term strategic objectives and vision.
  • Resolve operational problems and interface with other bank departments and branches regarding issues and assistance.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of products and services supported by the Department.
  • Coordinate with Enterprise Risk Management to ensure compliance with policies, legal, and government regulations.
  • Identify necessary training for department team members on operational and support topics.
  • Prepare for Operations related regulatory and audit exam material.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations including Bank Secrecy/Anti-Money Laundering Act and others.
  • Ensure timely response and resolution of customer issues.
  • Provide guidance for solutions to customer inquiries to ensure satisfaction.
  • Analyze business needs and recommend opportunities for continued improvement.
  • Maintain awareness of banking laws and regulations that impact current processes.
  • Foster a positive and professional work environment for team members.
  • Develop Subject Matter Experts within the department.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of banking experience in an Operational Role with a focus on customer service.
  • A minimum of 10 years management experience.
  • Demonstrated success in problem resolution.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of banking products and services.
  • Superior analytical skills to identify areas for improvement and find creative solutions.
  • Ability to cultivate and sustain strong internal and departmental relationships.
