The Product Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for the development of product plans, strategies, and tactics in coordination with the Product Management team. The overall objective of this role is to coordinate the promotion of products to develop new markets, increase share of market, and obtain competitive position. This role requires a deep understanding of product requirements and market dynamics, ensuring that products meet quality and performance goals during testing phases. The Product Analyst will lead cross-functional teams to resolve business issues related to technology projects that have significant business impact, while also sharing knowledge across product marketing to contribute to the development of new techniques and improvement of processes/workflow for the product marketing function. In addition to leading technology projects for small product enhancements and minor customizations, the Product Analyst will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on product customization projects. This involves influencing decisions through advice, counsel, and facilitating services to others in their area of specialization. The role also includes documenting new products and changes to existing products, ensuring smooth business implementation during the launch process, and prioritizing and validating potentially dynamic material from multiple sources using analytical skills. Furthermore, the Product Analyst will direct and oversee marketing program life cycle management, taking into account market demands, technology trends, and competitive field. The position also entails assuming an informal leadership and mentor role within teams, conducting coaching and training of new recruits. The Product Analyst must appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. This includes driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
