About the position

The AVP, IT EIS AVP, Scrum Master - Enterprise Integration Services (EIS) Initiatives is a pivotal role responsible for defining, planning, and leading the delivery of various Enterprise Level EIS initiatives that support the EIS Agile Release Train (ART). This position requires a dynamic individual who can work across multiple teams to drive innovative engineering solutions into production. The Scrum Master will also play a crucial role in financial planning and monitoring, collaborating with key stakeholders to identify and pursue improvements in processes and outcomes. In this role, the individual will act as a Scrum Master and Kanban Leader, coaching development teams to enhance their agile practices. The responsibilities include managing multiple agile teams simultaneously, shaping business requirements in collaboration with technology and business teams, and ensuring effective communication throughout project execution. The Scrum Master will utilize tools such as Jira and Jira Align to manage dependencies, risks, and value delivery, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. The position requires exceptional communication and facilitation skills to develop reports and articulate challenges, progress, and opportunities to various stakeholders, including executives. The Scrum Master will also be responsible for tracking and reporting budget discipline across multiple teams, ensuring that all development stories and related documentation are complete and timely. This role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration to build teamwork and propel value delivery, while also leading projects in Scaled Agile methodologies and conducting Agile ceremonies such as Daily Stand Ups, Sprint Planning, and Retrospectives. The AVP will also focus on maintaining team priorities, removing distractions, and ensuring timely testing and feedback from Product Owners and Quality Engineering teams. The individual will be expected to lead production support prioritization with key stakeholders and pursue continuous improvements in team performance and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Scrum Master and Kanban Leader for development teams.
• Manage multiple agile teams in parallel, ensuring effective communication and project execution.
• Shape business requirements in collaboration with technology and business teams.
• Manage Agile teams' dependencies, risks, capacities, and value delivery using Jira and Jira Align.
• Create holistic roadmaps and planning for product delivery with cross-functional teams.
• Develop reports and communicate challenges, progress, and opportunities to stakeholders.
• Track and report budget discipline for multiple teams.
• Ensure timely and complete development stories, acceptance criteria, and documentation.
• Lead, manage, track, and communicate the execution of project plans to ensure timely completion.
• Utilize and create reports to deliver EIS Initiatives and promote team collaboration.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Daily Stand Ups, Sprint Planning, and Retrospectives.
• Keep Agile teams focused on priorities and remove distractions.
• Work with Product Owners and QE teams to ensure timely testing and feedback.
• Evangelize for autonomous, self-organizing, and continuously improving teams.
• Lead production support prioritization and identify improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of IT experience or equivalent leadership program experience, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma/GED and 6 years of IT experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing and implementing information systems.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in agile delivery with strong understanding of Scaled Agile practices.

Nice-to-haves

• SAFe Scrum Master Certification, SAFe® Advanced Scrum Master, SAFe Release Train Engineers (RTE) certification.
• Experience managing offshore resources and motivating diverse cross-functional teams.
• Previous Product Management experience.
• Familiarity with data encryption/PII data protection standards and related technologies.
