About the position

The AVP, Senior Operations Performance Lead at Zurich is a pivotal role responsible for directing the planning, execution, and measurement of strategic initiatives within the Large Casualty sector. This position engages with senior leadership to drive transformational initiatives and enhance operational efficiencies across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess advanced problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, and experience in change management, contributing to the overall effectiveness and profitability of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead, design, and facilitate cross-functional projects that promote organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and profitability.
• Create timelines, agendas, goals, and metrics/measurements for initiatives.
• Guide the development, implementation, and institutionalization of best practices around execution and change management.
• Provide methodologies and tools to sponsors and team members to support initiatives and foster a culture of innovation.
• Identify business improvement opportunities and develop solutions while managing initiatives and resources required.
• Incorporate specific metrics and measurements into solutions that reflect business strategy, track progress, and capture the impact of changes.
• Work with underwriting management to drive continuous improvement in operational performance through creative problem solving.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 7 or more years of experience in Claims, Consulting, Risk Engineering, or Underwriting area OR High School Diploma/Equivalent and 9 or more years of experience in the same areas OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the same areas.
• Experience in Organizational Effectiveness or Change Management.
• Experience in applying existing and/or change management methodologies and tools.
• Project management experience.
