About the position

The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Total Rewards at the University of Notre Dame is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping and executing the university's total rewards strategy, which includes compensation, benefits, and well-being programs for staff, faculty, and retirees. This position is critical in enhancing the employee value proposition and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The AVP will lead a team, manage budgets, and collaborate with various university stakeholders to align total rewards programs with institutional goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, evaluation, and implementation of compensation and benefit programs.
  • Drive well-being initiatives, including population health strategies and wellness programming.
  • Provide direction and coaching to the Total Rewards team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Manage budgets for benefits and compensation, including setting the university's fringe rate for benefits.
  • Conduct financial analyses to evaluate program performance and recommend improvements.
  • Partner with university committees, leaders, and departments to align Total Rewards programs with institutional goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Progressive experience in leading teams with proven ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and implementing strategic programs that align with organizational goals.
