About the position
The Awake Overnight Direct Care Staff position at Sevita involves providing community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role is focused on supporting participants in achieving their developmental goals and ensuring their well-being during overnight shifts. Caregivers will build meaningful relationships with individuals, assist with personal hygiene, and help manage behavioral challenges, all while being part of a mission-driven team.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities during overnight shifts.
- Assist participants with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
- Help individuals achieve developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
- Develop meaningful relationships with the individuals served.
- Support participants in community engagement and activities they enjoy.
- Manage behavioral challenges and provide compassionate care.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance required for day and evening shifts.
- No High School Diploma required.
- No prior experience necessary.
