About the position

The Awake Overnight Direct Support Professional role at Cascade Connections involves supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to help them achieve their full potential in various aspects of life. This position requires staff to assist clients with daily needs as outlined in their care plans, promote community integration, and provide medical care assistance while remaining awake during overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with developmental disabilities in daily life skills and community integration.
• Assist clients with their daily needs as specified in individual care plans and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Provide assistance with medical care as needed.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to agency and state policies and procedures at all times.
• Remain awake during all work hours.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Effectively communicates and understands, reads, and writes in English.
• Willing to submit to for-cause drug testing.
• Able to perform personal care and housekeeping chores as detailed in the job description.
• Organized and efficient.
• Able to work with diverse client populations in varied settings.
• Treats all clients with respect and relates in a warm, caring manner.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• First aid and CPR certification.
