About the position

The Awards/Company Manager for StarQuest Dance Competition is a key role within a nationwide dance competition that tours over 70 cities annually. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to perform under pressure while managing various responsibilities related to event logistics and performer engagement. The role involves both on-stage presence and behind-the-scenes preparation, making it ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and are passionate about providing exceptional experiences for participants.

Responsibilities

  • Book staff meals and manage logistics for events.
  • Hand out awards to performers on stage during competitions.
  • Complete pre-event preparation work from home between shows each week.
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth event operations.
  • Manage time effectively to handle multiple tasks under pressure.

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with diverse groups.
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably in event management or similar roles.
  • Ability to load in, load out, and carry heavy equipment as needed.
  • Mastery of time management and multitasking.
