About the position

The Driver Check-In Coordinator plays a crucial role in the food supply chain by ensuring that delivery drivers are accurately checked in and that all returned products are processed correctly. This position involves communication with drivers, customers, and inventory personnel to maintain operational efficiency and uphold the company's standards of service.

Responsibilities

  • Check-in drivers upon returning from deliveries.
  • Receive Driver's receipts of the day's customer deliveries, reconcile cash and checks, and place them in the safe.
  • Examine and verify all returned items to be re-entered into inventory.
  • File Department of Transportation (DOT) logs and company vehicle maintenance reports.
  • Reconcile damaged goods and returned items and re-enter items into the appropriate categories within the inventory system.
  • Communicate with inventory personnel over quality-related concerns.
  • Assist in the coordination of vehicle repairs and maintenance as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
  • 6+ months in a warehouse environment
  • Administrative support performing basic math and computer data entry skills
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1+ years in warehouse environment and interfacing with customers within the foodservice industry
