About the position

The Associate/Vice President position in Fixed Income, Securitized Client Portfolio Management at Goldman Sachs involves managing and expanding client relationships, driving new business initiatives, and overseeing portfolio construction and trading activities. This role is integral to providing customized investment solutions and collaborating with clients on asset allocation and risk management strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and expand existing client relationships through communication of relevant market / portfolio information and opportunities by leading periodic portfolio reviews
  • Drive new business initiatives, liaising with product development and sales, completion of request-for-proposal documentation in addition to providing broad support to Sales and Client Relationship Management teams
  • Develop and maintain framework for portfolio construction to manage complex client portfolios, aligning with active investment views and consistent with client objectives
  • Coordinate and direct trading activity relating to cash or in-kind contributions or withdrawals
  • Facilitate implementation of portfolio trades in restrictive portfolios

Requirements

  • 5+ years of work experience in fixed income asset management or related field. Specific securitized experience is a plus
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and excellent follow-through
  • Knowledge and appreciation for processes around operational nuances as well as portfolio management metrics
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Strong internal skills: Ability to build trust and confidence of colleagues, strengthen relationships through ongoing dialog and interactions, and collaborate well with others
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Strong quantitative skills, undergraduate degree in Math, physics, hard sciences, computer science, engineering, preferred. Other backgrounds considered based on ability to demonstrate quantitative ability
