About the position

The Interactive Visual Designer role at Marcus by Goldman Sachs focuses on the design and development of interactive projects, including HTML emails, digital content, and display ads. This position requires collaboration with various internal teams to create visually appealing and compliant digital assets that align with brand guidelines. The designer will be responsible for both the creative and technical aspects of the projects, ensuring high-quality outputs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with designers and copywriters to develop concepts and storyboards for display ads
• Design, storyboard, and code dynamic display ads using latest coding standards
• Develop HTML5 rich media banners and HTML email, comprising 80% design and 20% coding
• Design emails that align with brand guidelines, using brand fonts, colors, and compositional space to project brand tone
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create emails according to creative brief specs and timeline
• Create email designs that meet regulatory and compliance requirements for ad hoc projects and larger campaigns
• Ensure technical feasibility of designs across multiple browsers, email clients, and mobile devices
• Create social media assets that align with Marketing guidelines
• Create, re-size, and optimize images and graphics for the web
• Keep up with industry standards and current best practices in email and digital display design

Requirements

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
• Proficient knowledge of HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, ActionScript, and Responsive design
• A strong, clean set of online samples for design and code work
• General proficiency in Photoshop
• Strong organization and project management skills
• Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong quality assurance skills
• 5+ years of experience
