About the position

Goldman Sachs is seeking to empower clients and customers globally through its Wealth Management division, which offers financial planning, investment management, banking, and comprehensive advice to a diverse clientele, including ultra-high net worth individuals, family offices, foundations, endowments, and corporations. The Private Bank within Wealth Management provides competitive borrowing and cash management solutions, integrating these services with clients' wealth management goals. The Capital and Funding team is responsible for managing the financial resources of the Private Bank Lending business, focusing on profitability management, risk monitoring, and supporting lenders in strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Profitability management & reporting in conjunction with broader Wealth Management Finance team.
  • Monitoring of risk limits, balance sheet management, and capital planning.
  • Forecast capital requirements, balance sheet, and top line revenues for business planning and stress testing.
  • Support Lenders in driving product strategic initiatives through data analysis, financial modeling, and presentation preparation.
  • Own the risk integrity of the loan book, coordinating across underwriters, operations, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Provide transaction support to structure new transactions efficiently considering governance and controls frameworks.
  • Understand, monitor, and support the loan origination and funding process throughout the loan lifecycle.
  • Act as the face of the business when dealing with internal groups to resolve issues related to Private Bank products.
  • Manage financial resources for the private lending portfolio and ensure adequate funding through active management of the credit pipeline.
  • Make recommendations regarding funding sources to maximize revenues within liquidity risk tolerance.
  • Manage ad hoc requests from senior management, including data management reporting and presentations.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting financial services with a general understanding of leveraged finance, fixed income, or banking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a desire to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with high attention to detail and flexibility in hours.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and presentation skills, with working knowledge of multiple asset classes.
