About the position

The AWS Architect will play a crucial role in supporting a large-scale cloud migration project, primarily working remotely with occasional onsite travel in the Austin, TX area. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in AWS Cloud solutions, particularly in a lead capacity, to provide technical consultation, manage project resources, and ensure successful cloud migration.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of the Chief Architect/Manager on a multi-cloud enterprise-level migration project.
• Provide technical consultation and determine appropriate AWS cloud products or services to meet client application requirements.
• Develop and implement migration project plans, ensuring solutions meet objectives.
• Coordinate and integrate multi-cloud services and manage project resources to mitigate risks.
• Implement and maintain quality assurance processes and take corrective actions when issues arise.
• Deliver presentations, participate in solution reviews, and identify documentation requirements.
• Conduct analytical studies, feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and ensure compliance with laws, policies, and procedures.
• Participate in change control, implement information systems security plans, and provide training and documentation to customers.
• Collaborate on project management, risk management, systems integration, and infrastructure design.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of AWS Cloud solution architecture experience, with broad, extensive experience in technical consultations, management principles, and tools.
• At least 3 years of lead capacity experience in AWS Cloud projects.
• Strong experience with multi-cloud solutions, migration strategies, and cloud integration.
• Proficiency in developing and implementing migration project plans and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Hands-on experience with AWS architecture, infrastructure design, security management, and performance assessment.
• Knowledge in business process reengineering, project management, quality assurance, systems life cycle, and systems integration.
• Strong communication skills to deliver presentations and reports to stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements, manage risk, and ensure successful project delivery.
