About the position

The AWS Architect role is a long-term contract position based in Kennesaw, GA, focused on designing and managing scalable solutions using AWS services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AWS architecture, particularly in application development, with a strong emphasis on modernizing applications and optimizing costs.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage enterprise-wide scalable solutions using AWS services.
• Focus on application development with AWS, including Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Implement AWS services such as ECS, EKS, Lambda, and others for application deployment and management.
• Optimize costs and set up landing zones in AWS environments.
• Utilize the Well Architected Framework for best practices in AWS architecture.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience as an AWS Architect.
• Strong understanding of AWS services and architecture.
• Experience with application development in AWS, particularly with Java and Spring Boot.
• Familiarity with AWS services such as ECS, EKS, Lambda, and others.
• Ability to design scalable solutions and manage enterprise-wide applications.

Nice-to-haves

• AWS Solutions Architect Certification
• Experience with Python, Kubernetes, Angular/React, and Kafka.
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and big data technologies.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
