About the position

The AWS Backend Java Developer role involves implementing data normalization and ingestion solutions in AWS, specifically utilizing technologies such as S3, Postgres, Java, Kubernetes, and Unix Utilities. The position requires defining strategies for data flows to support the Nasdaq backoffice application while ensuring excellent customer service and the ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Implement data normalization and ingestion solutions in AWS using S3, Postgres, Java, Kubernetes, and Unix Utilities.
• Define a strategy for data flows to meet the requirements of the Nasdaq backoffice application.
• Provide excellent customer service and explain technical solutions to non-technical customers.

Requirements

• A university degree or college diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 5-8 years of development experience is required for this role.
• Strong analytical skills for complex and creative problem solving.
• Experience in object-oriented software development (Java).
• Experience with Database technologies (PostgresSQL).
• Automated testing experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; able to work closely with team members.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Spring Boot.
• Familiarity with Kafka.
• Knowledge of SQL-Server and Postgres.
• Experience with Microservices architecture.
• AWS developer experience and certifications.
• Proficiency in Unix Commands and basic shell scripting.
• CI-CD knowledge.
