About the position

As an AWS Cloud Architect at Gainwell, you will leverage your expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable communities. This role involves designing and developing innovative technology solutions, ensuring security-by-design, and providing technical leadership throughout the development lifecycle. You will collaborate with various teams to implement cloud solutions that meet client requirements while also focusing on efficiency improvements through automation.

Responsibilities

• Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
• Incorporate security-by-design into all solutions, ensuring security requirements are considered concurrently with technical requirements.
• Assist architects and senior engineers to implement security and identity environments and ensure related controls run optimally and effectively.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and lead related efforts through automation and orchestration of repeatable tasks.
• Design, architect, and develop high-end technology solutions that solve complex problems across different industries.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the development life cycle and focus on delivery of quality solutions.
• Develop deployment automation to provide a fully functional cloud stack in AWS that supports the Client's environment and/or requirements.
• Implement consumer authentication flows including simple and adaptive MFA along with flexible authorization and role-based access control.
• Collaborate with Engineering & Product Managers on resources, scope, prioritization, and deliverables.

Requirements

• 10+ years of IT experience
• 4+ years of relevant experience as a cloud architect
• Proficiency in Terraform or similar IaC language
• Experience with AWS resources including Networking/ECS/EC2/Network/IAM, CLI, & best practices
• Knowledge of Ansible
• Experience with CI/CD Development
• Familiarity with Git
• Ability to create Infrastructure Diagraming / Flow Diagrams
• Good understanding of Object Oriented Programming Techniques
• Strong documentation skills and ability to discuss software design patterns
• AWS Solution Architect - Associate certification preferred
