About the position

The AWS Cloud Database Administrator will be responsible for providing comprehensive database administration services for Amazon Redshift, Aurora PostgreSQL, and DocumentDB databases. This role involves provisioning, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of these databases using Cloud Formation Templates and Terraform. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Amazon Redshift, DocumentDB, and Aurora PostgreSQL database administration, including installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance. In this position, the administrator will develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for provisioning, configurations, and maintenance of the databases, adhering to best practices and specific requirements. The role requires experience with IaC tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform, as well as proficiency in scripting languages, particularly Python, and familiarity with AWS services like Lambda and Step Functions. This is a hybrid position based in Newark, NJ, and is offered as a 10-month contract assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Provision, configure, maintain, and optimize Amazon Redshift, Aurora PostgreSQL, and DocumentDB databases.

Requirements
