Illumination Works is seeking an AWS Cloud Developer / Engineer to provide advanced and cross-technology engineering throughout all phases of the technology/project lifecycle. This role is crucial as it encompasses accountability for the overall systems infrastructure, which includes engineering, implementation, integration, and technical services and support. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining cloud-based applications, monitoring their performance to proactively identify potential issues, and tuning them appropriately. Additionally, mentoring and coaching others to establish and improve processes and procedures will be a key aspect of this position. In this role, you will design and implement overall infrastructure components in collaboration with infrastructure and development teams, ensuring that the overall solution meets the required Service Level Agreements (SLA), Disaster Recovery (DR) protocols, monitoring, security, cost, and scalability needs. You will generate scripts and templates necessary for the automatic provisioning of resources in the cloud and debug technical issues within a complex stack that involves virtualization, containers, and serverless architectures. Establishing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, including supporting security scans, will also be part of your responsibilities. You will build and deploy applications on cloud platforms and leverage cloud services to create scalable and efficient software solutions while supporting and maintaining infrastructure solutions using the required tools and technologies.
