About the position

The position involves working with U.S. Intelligence Community agencies to implement innovative cloud computing solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS). The role requires strong technical skills, consultative abilities, and a passion for educating and training clients on cloud solutions. The consultant will engage in various projects, collaborating with AWS teams to deliver effective solutions and drive feature innovation based on customer needs. The position is office-based, requiring in-person work at least one day a week, and necessitates an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

Responsibilities

  • Help U.S. Intelligence Community agencies implement innovative cloud computing solutions.
  • Educate and train clients on application architectures and integration approaches.
  • Collaborate with AWS teams to deliver effective solutions and drive feature innovation.
  • Participate in deep-dive education and design exercises to create innovative solutions built on AWS.
  • Maintain and develop technical skills to contribute to architecture discussions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of design/implementation/consulting experience with distributed applications or equivalent education experience.
  • 1+ years of experience with software development tools and methodologies.
  • Technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
  • Experience in technology/software sales consulting or equivalent skills.
  • Professional experience architecting/deploying/operating solutions built on AWS.
  • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  • Experience managing highly available data center operations with responsibility for infrastructure robustness, including networking, server hardware, and storage.
  • Understanding of Federal Government application, server, and network security requirements such as ICD 503, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
