About the position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking highly talented and technical consultants to join our Professional Services team, focusing on innovative cloud computing solutions for U.S. Intelligence Community agencies. In this role, you will leverage the latest cloud technologies to solve complex technical problems and help these agencies understand application architectures and integration approaches. Your consultative and leadership skills will be crucial in launching projects that are set on a trajectory to success. You will be part of a dynamic team that collaborates across the entire AWS organization, ensuring that we deliver the right solutions and drive feature innovation based on customer needs. As a consultant, you will engage in a variety of projects, providing your expertise and experience to help our customers achieve their goals. You will be expected to work closely with Intelligence Community customers, educating and training them while designing and building cloud solutions tailored to their unique challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of large-scale computing solutions and will have previously worked as a systems or support engineer. You will participate in deep-dive education and design exercises, contributing to innovative solutions built on AWS. This position requires you to work from one of our specified locations or customer sites at least one day a week, as it is not a remote position. Additionally, you must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph, and be willing to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which you perform AWS work. Responsibilities

  • Engage with U.S. Intelligence Community agencies to implement innovative cloud computing solutions.
  • Educate and train customers on application architectures and integration approaches.
  • Design and build cloud solutions tailored to the needs of Intelligence Community customers.
  • Participate in deep-dive education and design exercises to create innovative solutions on AWS.
  • Collaborate with AWS teams to deliver the right solutions and drive feature innovation based on customer needs.
  • Maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and manage clearances for government agency work.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of design/implementation/consulting experience with distributed applications or equivalent education experience.
  • 1+ years of experience with software development tools and methodologies.
  • Technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
  • Experience in technology/software sales consulting or equivalent skills.
  • Professional experience architecting/deploying/operating solutions built on AWS.
  • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  • Experience managing highly available data center operations with responsibility for infrastructure robustness, including networking, server hardware, and storage.
  • Understanding of Federal Government application, server, and network security requirements such as ICD 503, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
