About the position

The AWS Cloud Developer position at TechNix LLC is a remote contract role focused on supporting the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) in a comprehensive transformation of its systems and business structure. This transformation emphasizes a complete overhaul of service offerings, aiming to create a customer-focused model that leverages online strategies wherever possible. The DMV's initiative is structured around six key areas: Program Organization, Compliance & Enforcement Services, Data Migration, Financial Services, Licensing & Credentials, and Titling & Registration. The new system being developed will utilize Salesforce and integrate with various other technologies to enhance service delivery. As an AWS Cloud Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining cloud environments that scale the DMV's public cloud infrastructure. This role requires a strong technical background in engineering and system administration to create resilient cloud infrastructures that utilize cloud-native capabilities such as auto-scaling and automated management. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that the public cloud infrastructure meets non-functional requirements, including security, availability, and reliability. Additionally, you will need to stay updated on cloud engineering trends and technology advancements to proactively maintain a broad knowledge base in this rapidly evolving field.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain public cloud platform infrastructure.
  • Ensure public cloud infrastructure meets non-functional requirements such as security, availability, and reliability.
  • Maintain knowledge of cloud industry standards and best practices across infrastructure.
  • Proactively stay informed about cloud engineering trends and technology advancements.

Requirements

  • Advanced engineering knowledge of public Cloud Services with at least 3 years of experience in monitoring, access, compute, storage, networking, security, configuration, and database services.
  • Experience with programming and infrastructure automation.
  • Experience using build and deployment tools.
  • Experience designing, developing, deploying, and testing in public cloud architecture.
  • Experience researching, designing, analyzing, and modifying Cloud-based Enterprise-wide systems and application software.
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or AWS Certified Developer Associate.
