About the position

The AWS Cloud Developer will be a key member of the Enterprise Engineering Team at World Wide Technology, focusing on improving data interoperability, integrity, and quality for systems within the USTRANSOM enterprise. This role involves leveraging AWS cloud services to create Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) capabilities while following DevOps practices with an Agile approach. The position requires a strong understanding of AWS services and the ability to work independently or in small teams to deliver innovative IT solutions for government clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop AWS Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines to support an Enterprise AWS cloud environment.
• Work independently or collaboratively in a small team setting.
• Evaluate commercial and Government software, freeware, shareware, tools, techniques, processes, and standards to meet customer requirements.
• Monitor and troubleshoot API performance as necessary.
• Design, build, and maintain Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and documentation using programming languages like Java, Python, or Ruby.
• Ensure API security and authentication compliance.

Requirements

• Secret clearance required to start.
• CompTIA Security+ or comparable IAT/IAM II/III certification required to start.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of cloud experience.
• Knowledge of AWS and AWS services.
• AWS Cloud Practitioner credentialed within 2023/24 required to start.
• Strongly preferred: AWS SysOps Admin Associate certification.
• Strongly preferred: AWS Developer Associate certification.
• Familiarity with GIT, Jenkins, JSON, YAML.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience or certification in containerization technology.
• Familiarity with MS SQL / MySQL development including data modeling and stored procedure development.
• Experience with hardware or software load balancers, VPNs, and firewalls.
