About the position

The AWS Cloud Developer at T-Rex Solutions is responsible for developing and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions for the federal government, specifically supporting the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM). This role involves working with AWS technologies to create enterprise architecture products, capability prototypes, and cybersecurity solutions, while ensuring compliance with security standards and best practices. The position requires a strong understanding of AWS services, scripting languages, and API development, along with the ability to work independently or in small teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop AWS Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines for an Enterprise AWS cloud environment.
• Work independently or collaboratively in a small team setting.
• Understand and implement Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) processes such as SAML, Oauth, and Federated Identities.
• Manage multiple tasks independently while meeting deadlines.
• Demonstrate proficiency in AWS Command Line Interface (CLI) and current AWS product offerings.
• Provide systems administration and issue resolution for AWS environments.
• Design, build, and maintain Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) using languages like Java, Python, or Ruby.
• Monitor and troubleshoot API performance and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Understand basic networking principles and components.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Secret Security Clearance.
• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity consulting or a related role.
• CompTIA Security+ or comparable IAT/IAM II/III certification required prior to hire.

Nice-to-haves

• DoD.8570/8140 IAM III Certification (CISSP, CISM, CISA, etc.) preferred.
• Experience or certification in Containerization technology.
