About the position

Maximus is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to build and maintain AWS infrastructure for Department of Defense (DoD) applications, focusing on scalability, security, and performance. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to enhance cloud configurations and automate processes, playing a vital role in optimizing DoD's cloud-based operations. This position is contingent upon award.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructures for DoD applications.
• Implement security measures, automate operations, and use CI/CD tools.
• Collaborate with teams to optimize AWS network and storage configurations.
• Develop scripts for automating network configurations and security compliance.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance required
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or 5 years of experience in Cloud Engineering
• Extensive experience with AWS services and infrastructure management
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages, cloud security principles & practices, and Kubernetes
• IAT Level II
• Must have AWS certifications or trainings in at least one of the following certifications: AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS SysOps Administrator, or AWS DevOps Engineer (3 years of proven relevant experience may be substituted for each certification).
