About the position

The Senior AWS Cloud Engineer role focuses on the execution and delivery of cloud platforms within a hybrid work environment. This position requires building cloud-native and multi-cloud platforms, implementing Infrastructure-as-Code, and applying Site Reliability Engineering principles to create resilient and scalable systems. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize performance and enhance system architecture while staying updated with the latest cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Build, deployment, and management of cloud-based solutions, including infrastructure as code (IaC) initiatives using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Participate in the entire cycle of Cloud Platform engineering, CloudOps, and development from architecture, hands-on implementation, documentation, and support.
• Implement cloud architecture best practices to optimize performance, cost, and security, with expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Collaborate with software development teams to integrate cloud services and support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, utilizing containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments of cloud environments using monitoring and logging tools to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of networking concepts, security protocols, and best practices for cloud security.
• Lead automation efforts to simplify provisioning, deployment, configuration management, and monitoring processes.
• Embrace new cloud technologies and tools to enhance capabilities and drive innovation.
• Lead incident response and troubleshooting efforts related to cloud infrastructure issues.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and present technical solutions.

Requirements

• 6+ years of relevant experience in a similar role, focusing on cloud infrastructure design and management.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology field.
• Strong proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience designing cloud architectures with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
• Working experience in designing and implementing full stack/Microservice infrastructure using IaC best practices.
• Understanding of secure software development methodologies and Code First mindset.
• Strong working knowledge of the CI/CD process including debugging, testing, and integration of software tools.
• In-depth knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
• High level of expertise with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana) for cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, security protocols, and best practices for cloud security.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Go, Bash).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
