About the position

We are currently seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer with a strong background in Security Operations (SecOps) to join our team in a remote capacity. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about cloud technologies and security, and who thrive in a dynamic environment where they can take on new challenges. The AWS Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing security controls for AWS-based applications and programs. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential security risks and implementing effective solutions to mitigate them. In this position, you will perform threat simulations to detect possible risks and provide actionable AWS security recommendations. You will work closely with AWS tools and services to build next-generation automated Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and pipelines that prioritize security. Additionally, you will automate AWS implementations for new cloud computing systems and assist in migrating existing systems to cloud architectures. Your expertise in AWS and security best practices will be crucial in ensuring the integrity and security of our cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of AWS native services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, Route53, IAM, and CloudFormation. You should also possess experience with AWS DevSecOps practices and have a strong grasp of security principles and best practices. Familiarity with network attacks, DDoS, phishing, email security, encryption, authentication, logging, and log analysis is essential. Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, PowerShell, and Java is also required, along with experience using Identity Access Management tools like Okta or Auth0.
