About the position

The AWS Cloud Engineer position at Insight Global involves supporting a large Department of Defense (DoD) program in Arlington, Virginia. This role requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance and focuses on designing, building, and maintaining cloud capabilities using Amazon C2S tools. The selected candidates will work on automating processes, managing integration and testing environments, and enhancing cloud infrastructure for continuous development.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain capabilities using Amazon C2S tools like Ansible, Cloud Formations, and Terraform.
• Develop code-based solutions and documentation based on customer cloud requirements.
• Automate processes with Ansible playbooks and scripts.
• Manage integration and testing environments for both unclassified and classified infrastructure.
• Stage and test new services, making necessary adjustments to improve the company's environments.
• Enhance cloud infrastructure for continuous development and maintain code documentation.
• Participate in release management.

Requirements

• Must currently have a TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI Poly.
• BA/BS degree and 6+ years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 4 years' extensive experience in Cloud Technologies and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
• 4 years' experience in implementing Amazon C2S enabled architectures and tools including Ansible, Cloud Formations, Terraform, JMETER, EC2, ELB, RDS, Lambda, Puppet, Docker, GIT, and S3.
• Experience with Python, Ruby, or other Object Oriented Scripting languages.
• IAT Level II Baseline Certification (e.g. CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP).

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience with DISA and DISA's support to mission partners.
