Our client is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer proficient in managing enterprise multi-region AWS deployments using Terraform and GitOps. The AWS Cloud Engineer will play a pivotal role in contributing to a high-priority AWS migration project, collaborating closely with the Infrastructure Engineering team. This position requires a deep understanding of AWS services and the ability to implement and manage complex cloud architectures effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS, particularly in IAM, networking, and monitoring services, and will be responsible for ensuring the security and efficiency of cloud operations. The AWS Cloud Engineer will manage IAM Policies and Role creation and updates, troubleshoot IAM roles and policies, and configure and manage third-party integration roles and privileges. Additionally, the engineer will develop and maintain a Terraform codebase, create new configurations as required, and manage networking components such as VPC, TGW, DX, VPN, and Network Firewall. The role also involves managing AWS Key Management Service (KMS) configurations, configuring AWS CloudWatch monitors for resource and application monitoring, and implementing AWS CloudTrail and Directory Service objects. The engineer will also manage AWS DNS (Route53) configurations and utilize AWS Foundational Tools (AFT) and Control Tower for organizational sub-account management. In this role, the AWS Cloud Engineer will conduct code reviews, manage pull requests, and maintain Bitbucket repository configurations. The position requires updating Terraform Cloud workspace configurations and permissions, ensuring that all deployments are secure, efficient, and compliant with best practices. The successful candidate will be a key player in the AWS migration project, working closely with the Infrastructure Engineering team to ensure a smooth transition to the cloud.
