About the position

The AWS Cloud Engineer will be part of the Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) team at U.S. Bank, focusing on supporting the integration of acquisition AWS accounts with corporate IAM controls and standards. This role involves developing automation for cloud deployments, ensuring compliance with security requirements, and facilitating the migration of systems from on-premises to the cloud. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS, IAM, and general security best practices, with experience in scripting and automation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate acquisition AWS accounts with security requirements.
• Help build patterns for application and infrastructure teams to deploy to the cloud using Infrastructure as Code.
• Work with existing security teams to create scripts and automation for compliance with IAM requirements.
• Develop and implement security best practices within the cloud while engineering solutions for cloud migration.
• Evaluate new services from cloud providers and develop requirements and implementation plans for those services.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience provisioning and managing infrastructure/applications in both virtual and cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure).
• Experience in scripting for process automation (Powershell, Python, Bash, or similar language).
• Proficiency in configuration languages (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM).
• Experience managing cloud-based systems.
• 3+ years of experience working with DevOps teams and CICD pipelines to support Infrastructure as Code or IAM as Code.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Web Access Management, SSO, API/container security.
• Experience in application architecture and modern authentication (SSO, SAML, OAuth, OIDC).
