About the position

As an AWS Cloud Solutions Architect at Compass.UOL, you will play a pivotal role in designing, architecting, and documenting comprehensive AWS-based solutions that align with customer requirements and business objectives. Your primary responsibility will be to create proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs) in key areas such as data modernization, migration, and Generative AI (GenAI). You will interact directly with customers to understand their business needs, challenges, and goals, ensuring that the solutions you propose are tailored to their specific contexts. In this role, you will participate in AWS sales and partnering meetings, both in the market and at AWS offices, building relationships with key AWS stakeholders, including Solution Architects, Account Managers, and Partner Sales and Development Managers. You will develop strategies for cloud adoption and the migration of existing workloads to AWS, assessing existing AWS environments to identify optimization opportunities and proposing strategies for enhancing performance, reliability, and cost savings. Your ability to communicate technical concepts and solutions effectively to diverse audiences will be crucial. You will support the implementation and deployment of AWS solutions, ensuring adherence to AWS architectural best practices. Additionally, you will initiate strategic meetings, including onsite visits, to build relationships with senior technical individuals and encourage customer advocacy. As a thought leader, you will provide insights on AWS best practices, architectures, and integrations to both customers and internal teams. You will work closely with Sales to provide status updates and insights learned during customer discovery, collaborating with Legal, Finance, and Sales teams to prepare sales proposals, statements of work, and other strategic agreements. Serving as a subject matter expert on AWS technologies, trends, and best practices, you will also provide mentorship to junior team members and stay abreast of emerging AWS services, industry trends, and new technologies. Your contributions may include authoring customer-facing publications such as whitepapers and blogs.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in technology domains (e.g., cloud computing, systems engineering, architecture, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
  • 3+ years in pre-sales/sales engineering with AWS or AWS-related projects at AWS Consulting Partner (Advanced or Premier).
  • Experience in pre-sales with large SMBs or enterprise customers; be prepared to discuss three recent projects that meet these criteria.
  • 5+ years of design and professional services experience, with at least 2+ years implementing solutions on AWS.
  • Experience in migrations, data-driven applications, and building cloud platforms for delivering business and client-facing applications.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, cloud networking, cloud migration, cloud security, and application integration.
  • Experience automating cloud infrastructure with Terraform, CloudFormation, and similar products and services.
  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification required.
  • Clear understanding and demonstrated experience in using Bedrock to deploy and apply LLMs and foundation models effectively.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
