  • Design and build secure AWS network architectures including VPCs, subnets, security groups, and VPNs.
  • Develop and optimize AWS-based microservices, serverless architectures, and containerized solutions (ECS, EKS, Lambda).
  • Ensure solutions adhere to the AWS Well-Architected Framework, emphasizing security, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Work with development teams to ensure that good technology choices are made for long term operational ownership and stability.
  • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
  • Automate provisioning, configuration management, and deployments using AWS Systems Manager, Ansible, Python, Go, or CI/CD pipelines.
  • Leverage AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and EventBridge to build serverless automation solutions.
  • Design and implement AWS observability solutions using AWS-native and third-party tools to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Deploy and configure AWS CloudWatch for metrics, logs, and alarms to proactively monitor cloud environments.
  • Implement distributed tracing and log aggregation using AWS X-Ray, CloudWatch Logs, and Amazon OpenSearch Service.
  • Configure and manage AWS CloudTrail for auditing and security monitoring.
  • Develop automated alerting and incident response mechanisms.
  • Optimize dashboards and reporting using Amazon Managed Grafana, CloudWatch Dashboards, and Prometheus.
  • Design observability solutions using 3rd party tooling including Splunk, Datadog and Coralogix.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize AWS workloads for performance and cost efficiency using AWS Cost Explorer, Trusted Advisor, and Auto Scaling.
  • Implement AWS Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, and Spot Instances for cost optimization.
  • Leverage AWS CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, and AWS CloudTrail for monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud architecture, infrastructure, and services.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS compute, storage, networking, and security services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Route 53, CloudFront).
  • Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation (AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS, EKS, Fargate).
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or AWS SDKs.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS security and compliance best practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize AWS workloads and cost structures.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Read, understand and make suggested improvements to code implementations in Java, C# and Python.

Nice-to-haves

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional (strongly preferred).
  • Additional AWS certifications (AWS DevOps Engineer, AWS Security Specialty, AWS Advanced Networking).
  • Experience with hybrid cloud and multi-cloud architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with serverless application development using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML services on AWS (SageMaker, Rekognition, Comprehend, Bedrock etc.) is a plus.
