About the position

The AWS Data Engineer role is focused on designing and maintaining efficient data pipelines to support business requirements. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance system performance and ensure data security while driving innovation through the development of data tools for analytics and data science teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain efficient data pipelines to support business requirements.
• Assemble large, complex data sets for both functional and non-functional needs.
• Enhance system performance through process automation, data delivery optimization, and infrastructure re-design for scalability.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders (Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams) to address technical issues and infrastructure needs.
• Ensure data security and separation across boundaries using AWS data centers and regions.
• Develop data tools to support analytics and data science teams, driving innovation and industry leadership.
• Work closely with data and analytics teams to improve data system functionality.

Requirements

• Expertise in AWS services (Lambda, Glue, S3, EMR, SNS, SQS, CloudWatch, Redshift).
• Strong SQL skills and experience with databases like Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation tasks.
• Experience with shell scripting in Linux/Unix environments.
• Familiarity with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.

Nice-to-haves

• Basic knowledge of machine learning, regression, and validation techniques.
