About the position

Infosys is seeking an AWS Data Engineer to facilitate digital transformation for clients through a global delivery model. The role involves researching technologies, recommending solutions, and contributing to best practices in technology. The engineer will interface with key stakeholders and utilize technical proficiency across various stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, all while fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and diversity.

Responsibilities

• Enable digital transformation for clients in a global delivery model.
• Research technologies independently and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Contribute to technology-specific best practices and standards.
• Interface with key stakeholders throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure excellence and respect for diversity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 2 years of Information Technology experience.
• Proven experience in AWS services such as Redshift, EMR, and Glue.
• Experience in end-to-end implementation using AWS and Snowflake.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in SQL, Unix shell scripting, and Python.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the Banking/Financial domain.
• Strong knowledge of Data structures, Data Engineering concepts, Algorithms, Collections, Multi-threading, and memory management.
• Experience in large scale cloud data migrations using Snowflake, Python, Spark, and SQL.
• Sound knowledge of software engineering design patterns and practices.
• Good understanding of Agile software development frameworks.
• Experience in Azure/AWS Databricks.
