About the position

The AWS DevOps Consultant position at WinWire involves designing and overseeing the implementation of DevOps strategies and processes that align with the organization's goals and objectives. This role specializes in managing AWS-based infrastructures and services, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability. The consultant will engage with stakeholders to design cloud environments, create design documents, and runbooks for new tools and services as applicable. The position requires a deep understanding of AWS services, particularly advanced usage of S3, Lambda, ECS, ECR, and various other AWS tools and services. The consultant will be responsible for building designed cloud environments using Terraform, deploying these environments to both test and production, and monitoring deployments while updating stakeholders. An advanced level of Terraform knowledge is essential, including working with modules, using Terraform functions, and managing a custom Terraform backend. Familiarity with code quality tools such as TFSec, GitLeaks, and Semgrep to identify hard-coded keys in the code is an added advantage. Additionally, experience with the Atlantis tool for deploying infrastructure through Terraform pull requests and working with GitHub Actions and OIDC to trigger Terraform code for infrastructure tasks is beneficial. This role is critical in ensuring that the cloud environments are not only functional but also secure and efficient, contributing to the overall success of the digital transformation initiatives at WinWire.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with stakeholders to design cloud environments.
  • Create design documents and runbooks for new tools and services as applicable.
  • Build designed cloud environments using Terraform.
  • Deploy designed environments to test and production.
  • Monitor deployment and update stakeholders.
  • Utilize advanced Terraform knowledge, including working with modules and custom backends.
  • Implement code quality tools to identify hard-coded keys in the code.
  • Use Atlantis tool to deploy infrastructure through Terraform pull requests.
  • Work with GitHub Actions and OIDC to trigger Terraform code for infrastructure tasks.

Requirements

  • 8 to 10 years of experience in DevOps and AWS services.
  • Advanced knowledge of AWS services including S3, Lambda, ECS, ECR, and others.
  • Proficient in Terraform, including advanced usage and module management.
  • Experience with code quality tools such as TFSec, GitLeaks, and Semgrep.
  • Familiarity with GitHub Actions and OIDC for triggering Terraform code.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with AWS Control Tower and AWS Cognito.
  • Knowledge of AWS AppFlow and Systems Manager.
  • Familiarity with AWS Trusted Advisor and Quicksight.
