AWS DevOps Engineer - Hybrid

About the position

CGI has an immediate need for an AWS DevOps Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest leaders in the secondary mortgage industry. This position is located at a client site in Plano, TX or Reston, VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable. Responsibilities

• Build and deploy CICD pipeline with multiple technologies like AWS
• Create CI/CD pipelines and build docker containers
• Participate in technical design and choose the right tools such as AWS, Tomcat, WebLogic, and Spring Boot application
• Implement standards, processes, and controls for release and deployment activities in DevOps space
• Work with tools like Maven, ANT, Shell, Jenkins, Hudson, UCD, UCR, VM Ware, Puppet, ServerSpec, Chef
• Write Docker files and create images

Requirements

• 8 -10+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with AWS hands-on experience
• Experience developing web applications and services using Python, Groovy or Go, with knowledge of Java, Ruby, NodeJS, Bash, Perl, React, Angular as a plus
• Highly experienced with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Pipeline as Code, Automated Single click Deployment, Configuration Management with large/mid-size application with production support
• 2-3 years of experience with Cloud-based DevOps practices, especially hands-on experience with Cloud formation template, Terraform
• 2-3 years of experience with Containerization/Docker and Orchestration with Kubernetes, Fargate and App Mesh
• Experienced System-level architects, like Linux or Windows flavors
• Understanding of scalable web application architecture and infrastructure both in on-premise and cloud
• 2-3 years of experience with implementing Security scan and monitoring with web, tool, networking perspective
• Experience with Shell scripting
• Knowledge of Site reliability engineering for infrastructure and application monitoring
• Experience in Agile Software Development with best practices
