About the position

A growing eCommerce shop in the Atlanta Metro area is looking for a Kubernetes expert to join their team. They are hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to work on their core application. This company creates software that is used internationally to handle transactions and convert currencies for different countries during checkout. The position is full-time and hybrid, requiring in-office presence three days per week at their Dunwoody office location. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be part of a local team responsible for developing and implementing modern technologies using AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement modern technologies using AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Collaborate with the local team to enhance the core application used for international transactions.
  • Ensure the reliability and performance of the application in a production environment.
  • Utilize CI/CD tooling to streamline deployment processes.
  • Write and maintain code in Python, Golang, or Java as needed.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on DevOps Engineering experience
  • Strong experience using AWS and its services
  • 5+ years of experience using Kubernetes across various cloud infrastructures
  • Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools such as Terraform
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling
  • Coding experience in Python, Golang, or Java
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar field

Nice-to-haves

  • Ecommerce knowledge or industry experience
  • Proven experience working in a production environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
