About the position

The Senior DevOps Engineer position is a contract role focused on transforming the infrastructure of a prominent chicken restaurant headquartered in Atlanta. This fully remote position requires monthly meetings in the Atlanta office and involves hands-on development work with AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes. The role emphasizes collaboration with the infrastructure team and includes mentoring responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Transforming the infrastructure as code (IAC) base using Terraform.
• Containerizing and orchestrating infrastructure with Kubernetes.
• Collaborating with the infrastructure team on cloud solutions.
• Mentoring other developers on the team.
• Participating in monthly meetings at the Atlanta office.

Requirements

• Over 8 years of professional experience in engineering roles.
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, EKS, and S3.
• Proficient in automation and infrastructure management using Ansible and Terraform.
• Strong expertise in monitoring tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Systems, or Computer Science.
