About the position

The role involves spearheading security efforts within the organization, focusing on developing, implementing, and leading security measures to protect projects and infrastructure. The position requires guiding a team dedicated to security best practices, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The individual will integrate security practices across the DevSecOps life cycle and design secure infrastructure solutions using cloud technologies such as Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead security efforts and lead the development of security measures.
  • Guide and develop a team focused on security best practices and risk assessments.
  • Integrate security practices across the DevSecOps life cycle, including planning, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Design and develop secure infrastructure solutions using Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure.
  • Ensure compliance with industry best practices and governmental regulations for security.
  • Guide the certification and accreditation process for systems as required by government contracts.
  • Drive the development and implementation of security architectures for sensitive data protection.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate security considerations in project development.
  • Conduct security assessments and audits, providing recommendations for security controls.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on security, advising on threats, trends, and technologies.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with computer industry security and identity in a large enterprise.
  • 5+ years of experience in a security architect role.
  • Experience engineering, deploying, and operating tools for large organizations, including Splunk and Microsoft Security Suite.
  • Knowledge of cloud environments and DevSecOps.
  • Knowledge of Identity and Access capabilities in an enterprise.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with government compliance, certification, and accreditation processes, including FedRAMP and NIST standards.
  • Experience leading security initiatives and teams in complex project environments.
  • Knowledge of network architecture, data protection, and application security.
  • Knowledge of Secure Development Lifecycle.
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possession of excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • CISSP, CISM, CEH, or other professional certification preferred.
