About the position

SAIC is seeking a highly experienced and visionary DevSecOps Engineer Senior Principal to design, deploy, operate, and maintain secure Cloud products and services. This role is focused on enabling development teams to deliver features efficiently within a Cloud-based environment. The position is fully remote and involves maintaining continuous build/integration infrastructure, supporting CI/CD tools integration, and ensuring full automation of CI/testing processes while collaborating with various teams to streamline product delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, operate, and maintain secure Cloud products and services within a Cloud-based environment.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and ongoing development of continuous build/integration infrastructure.
  • Provide Source Control Management/Documentation and create/maintain fully automated CI build processes for multiple environments; write, build, and deploy scripts.
  • Support CI/CD tools integration, operations, change management, and maintenance.
  • Support full automation of CI/testing.
  • Support policies, standards, guidelines, governance, and related guidance for both CI/CD operations and developer work.
  • Enable successful release management by moving code from Development and Testing environments to Staging and Production.
  • Collaborate closely with software developers, production support, and information security to automate and support infrastructure and tooling in cloud-based platforms.
  • Provide guidance and apply agile and DevOps/DevSecOps practices to streamline product delivery and reliable operations.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to automate and save time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and nine (9) years or more of experience, or Master's degree and four (4) years or more of experience; will consider additional 4 years experience with a HS diploma in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • US citizen required and must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
  • Broad knowledge of AWS/AWS Services.
  • AWS identity and Access Management (IAM) experience developing user roles and policies.
  • AWS Service Control Policies experience.
  • Terraform/Terragrunt experience.
  • Strong understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field.
  • Proven ability to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under general direction, independently determining and developing approaches to solutions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Agile software development with Scrum or Kanban.
  • Familiarity with Agile collaboration tools such as Atlassian Jira, Confluence.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, or MS Azure.
  • Knowledge of Cloud - Platform One.
  • Experience with Cross Domain Solutions C-ATO.
  • Understanding of Multi-Level Security Networks (MLS / MILS).
  • Experience with containerization using Docker or Red Hat Podman.
  • Knowledge of container management with Kubernetes and Helm.
  • Experience with security automation tools such as SAST and DAST.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, Bicep, Ansible, and/or Terraform.
