About the position

NTT DATA is seeking an AWS ETL Developer to join our team remotely. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about technology and eager to apply their skills in a dynamic environment. The AWS ETL Developer will be responsible for the analysis, design, and development of high-volume, low-latency data integration solutions for mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS Cloud technologies and experience with various ETL tools and data warehouse platforms. In this position, you will independently perform analysis and development tasks, ensuring that the solutions you create are efficient, well-designed, and testable. You will be expected to write code/scripts/ETLs that support a variety of IT solutions while maintaining a focus on high availability and performance to meet customer needs. Your role will also involve conducting thorough discovery and fact-finding to understand business problems and opportunities, allowing you to execute assignments with minimal supervision. As part of your responsibilities, you will provide input into solution buy vs. build recommendations and communicate development and production issues effectively to the project team and management. Staying abreast of technology trends and best practices is crucial, as you will be expected to apply new technologies to solve business problems continuously. Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis, design, and development of solution deliverables independently.
  • Support high-volume, low-latency data integration for mission-critical systems.
  • Write well-designed, testable, efficient code/scripts/ETLs for various IT solutions.
  • Conduct discovery and fact-finding to understand business problems and opportunities.
  • Provide input into solution buy vs. build recommendations when requested.
  • Communicate development and production issues to the project team and management in a timely manner.
  • Research and stay updated on technology trends and IT best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other STEM related major.
  • 3+ years of direct development experience in AWS Cloud.
  • Experience with at least one data integration/ETL/ELT technology (e.g., Qlik/Attunity Replicate, Informatica, Talend).
  • Experience with a data warehouse or data lake platform (e.g., Snowflake, Teradata, Hadoop).
  • Intermediate skill in at least one development language (e.g., Python preferred, Java).

Nice-to-haves

  • Good understanding of data warehouse concepts (e.g., type-1 and type-2 data, star schema).
  • Intermediate SQL programming and data analysis skills.
  • Experience working with large and complex data sets.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative solutions.
  • Unix scripting experience.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices with tools like Jenkins and GitHub.
