About the position

The AWS Developer position focuses on engineering data integration solutions within the Strategic Platform Engineering team at NTT DATA. The role aims to enhance data ingestion, preparation, and analysis to address critical healthcare challenges. The successful candidate will leverage AWS technologies and ETL processes to deliver efficient, high-performance solutions while fostering continuous learning and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Independently perform analysis, design, and development of solution deliverables.
  • Support the analysis, design, and development of high volume, low latency data integration for mission-critical systems.
  • Write well-designed, testable, efficient code/scripts/ETLs to support varied IT solutions.
  • Perform necessary discovery and fact-finding to understand business problems and opportunities.
  • Provide input into solution buy vs. build recommendations to management when requested.
  • Effectively communicate development and production issues to the project team and management.
  • Research and stay abreast of technology trends and IT best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other STEM related major, or 5 years of relevant experience without a degree.
  • 3+ years direct development experience in AWS Cloud.
  • Experience with AWS tools such as CloudFormation, Cloudwatch, EC2, Eventbridge, Lambda, Step functions, Secrets Manager, SQS, SNS, SSM.
  • Experience with at least one data integration/ETL/ELT technology (e.g., Qlik, Informatica, Talend).
  • Experience with a data warehouse or data lake platform (e.g., Snowflake, Teradata, Hadoop).
  • Intermediate skill in at least one development language (e.g., Python, Java).
  • Good understanding of data warehouse concepts and intermediate SQL programming skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working with large and complex data sets.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on understanding overall business issues.
  • Self-directed, highly organized, and adaptable with the ability to multi-task.
  • Resilient to change and ready to leverage new technologies for positive change.
  • Unix scripting experience.
  • Experience working in Agile or Waterfall model.
  • Good understanding of DevOps with Jenkins, Github.
  • Experience with a major relational database management system (e.g., DB2, Oracle, SQL Server).
  • Cloud-based solution design and engineering experience.
