About the position

The AWS DevOps Engineer role focuses on ensuring the reliability and scalability of applications hosted on AWS. The engineer will leverage their expertise in Site Reliability Engineering and DevOps practices to design, implement, and maintain large-scale systems that are fault-tolerant and highly available. This position requires a strong background in AWS services, Kubernetes, and Linux systems, along with experience in managing Java applications and Kafka clusters.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement large-scale, available, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Manage Java-based applications using the Spring Boot framework.
• Scale and manage Kafka clusters effectively.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab.
• Address scalability issues in distributed environments.
• Utilize infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Maintain monitoring dashboards using tools like Splunk and Grafana.
• Write and maintain scripts in Python and Bash for automation tasks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or similar roles.
• In-depth experience with AWS services, Kubernetes, and Linux systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of industry-related professional experience and education.
• Experience managing Java-based applications with the Spring Boot framework.
• Experience managing and scaling Kafka clusters.
• Experience with Jenkins/GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
• Familiarity with Terraform for automation.
• Knowledge of AWS services, including Important spaces, VPC, IAM, and MSK.
